Fine van Brooklin!

Dear reader! Things are about to change for the better :). In order to proceed with what I want for the future, the time has come to make a small change in my name. Please note that this blog, my jewellery and everything associated with them will from now on be called Fine van Brooklin with an i instead of a y. A little twist, a tiny quirk. But it… Read more

Elegante Welt

I received a pile of amazing 1920s German fashion magazines called Elegante Welt, in mint condition, as a Christmas gift. The photos and illustrations in these magazines are absolutely fantastic. This is merely a small example, I’m really going to have to scan dozens of pages at some point… Detail from a page wide ad in Elegante Welt magazine fron 1924 Fanny earrings

Shimmy necklace The focal point of this necklace is a glimmering vintage rhinestone pendant found from Stockholm. The picture really doesn’t do it justice as the clear rhinestones shine and sparkle a lot more in real life. Added are some black… Read more

Making an entrance

I’m blushing. A pair of earrings I made over four years ago made it to the President’s Independence Day ball on December 6th. And while watching the event on tv, I actually managed to spot the young lady in a blue gown, wearing my Glittering Darkness earrings! Wow. Who would have thought? Cheers!! Glittering Darkness earrings, from way back in 2007. Now I’m puzzled. Should I bring back this style?… Read more
