Collection: SUITS collection

I've had a soft spot for the vintage aestehetics and symbolism of classic playing cards for as long as I can remember. When I was a child my father taught me how to play "patience" when it rained and I would complain about having nothing to do. I admired the card deck that we had at home. It was called Turun linna/Turku Castle and I found those cards absolutely beautiful. Last year while visiting Turku I stumbled upon that same card deck in a museum shop and quite simply had to have it. Nowadays I play a few rounds of "patience" every once in a while, especially on a rainy night and when I miss my father.

Now a new jewellery collection called SUITS is about to start, with colour inspiration coming from the ladies in my card deck. I also like the word play. Whose suit do you wear, what suits you best and what's suitable where and when.

We'll go through all four suits but the collection begins with Queen of Hearts. Although there are no heart shapes in sight! I hope you'll enjoy.
