Parisienne necklace
Parisienne necklace
Unique necklace from Women in Art collection, inspired by Virginie, the wonderful model in several 19th century paintings by Finnish painter Albert Edelfelt. I have loved the paintings of her since I was a young girl and here I want to imagine Virginie's jewellery style set in the 2020s.
For this necklace I have combined a stunning hand blown rosy pink glass drop with a highly decorative vintage brass beadcap. They both were found from a seller at Puces de Vanves in Paris, who had leftover stock from a Parisian jewellery factory that operated from 1880s to 1950s. We estimated the brass finding to be Art Deco, and the glass bauble also perhaps from the 1920s-30s. The pendant hangs on a beautiful vintage brass chain with champagne coloured Primero crystals carefully wrapped with gold fill wire and featuring a gold fill clasp.
Unique, one of a kind treasure.
Length of the chain is adjustable between 55cm and 65cm. The pendant part is approximately 3,5cm long.
Original, unusual and oozing artistic vintage bohemian style. An absolute joy to wear and will not be left unnoticed!
