Oblivion collection returns in 2024 with a new set of beautiful strangers.

Adorable, chunky vintage porcelain/faience bauble beads were found from a vintage shop in Venice last summer. They are quite large (20mm x 15mm), handpainted and feature texts in latin, written with an adorable, slightly wobbly handwriting in block letters. The text on this white one reads "Quo vadis" (where are you going) and on the other side there's the letter "X" that can mean number 10 in Roman numbers. Also, X marks the spot, right? These beads make my imagination fly!

I do not know the original purpose of these beads, and neither did the nice and friendly seller in the shop. They had arrived from a local elderly lady who had brought several very chic and interesting clothing and accessories items for sale to this lovely boutique.

I had only one of these beads in white so it became a unique necklace. I've added a beautiful Czech glass drop on the pendant, and the long string of beads includes green aventurine stones and Czech glass.

Small metallic findings and clasp are silver.

Length 86cm, length of pendant approx. 5cm.

Great boho style necklace, versatile and with a timeless, universal message. A joy to wear!

Please note: If you look closely at the last photo, there is a small bit (approx. 2x3mm) of glazing that had come off but I painted it black so now it's hardly visible. I still thought the bauble was so great that I didn't mind the minor blemish, it's vintage.
